Linda Wilkinson, Office Manager
Linda Wilkinson manages the overall administrative functioning of the office. She is the focal point for all clients calling or visiting the office. Her responsibilities include confidential documentation maintenance and retrieval, billing, and office security. She has 30 years of administrative management experience. She has gained this experience from her management of offices for Mental Health System, Inc. and the San Diego Gas and Electric Company.
Tharia Corbett-Young, M.A.
Tharia Corbett-Young works directly with Dr. Pizitz and is a Master’s-Level Clinician who provides individual, family, couples, and group therapy to children, adolescent, and adults. Her specialty areas include treatment of anxiety and depression, trauma resolution, treatment of adult survivors of abuse, families in transition (blended families, adoption, divorce) and marital counseling. She heads up the anger management treatment program, and co-facilitates the stalking treatment program. Additionally, she works with Dr. Pizitz in conducting psychological evaluations.
Ms. Corbett-Young has over seven years of psychotherapy experience from providing treatment at various agencies. These agencies include the Redlands Counseling Center, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, The North County San Diego Drug Court, Interfaith Community Services (Veterans Program), and the Carlsbad Unified School District.
Ms. Corbett-Young received her M.A. degree in Psychology from Chapman University. She is an Air Force veteran having served over 22 years in the Air Force. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Kathleen “Kat” Fernandez, Drug and Alcohol Specialist
Kat Fernandez is a Certified Alcoholism and Other Drug Addictions Recovery Specialist who works closely with Dr. Pizitz to provide treatment to those struggling with addiction. She has worked in the field of chemical dependency for ten years.
Her career history includes working as a DUI Counselor for Accord, and as a Substance Abuse Counselor at the McAlister Institute Detoxification program. Other employment has included working as a recovery specialist with the P3 Parolee Program, SARMS Program (Substance Abuse Recovery Management Systems) and as a drug and alcohol counselor for the East County Drug Court. Presently, she works as a Co-occurring Disorders Counselor and Prop 36 Case Manager, Mental Health Systems, Inc., Pegasus East.
Jerry Kropp, PsyD
Jerry Kropp is a post doctoral fellow working under the supervision of Dr. Pizitz. He provides individual therapy, psychological assessments, and is involved with a number of research projects. His areas of specialty include individuals who are court ordered to attend treatment, mood and anxiety disorders, and the chronically mentally ill.
Dr. Kropp has varied clinical experience including working at New Vistas Crisis Center, Jary Barreto Crisis Center, Professional Community Services, Paradise Valley Hospital-Bayview Campus, and Sharper Future.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona where he was involved with research studying anxiety and stress. In 2008, he obtained a Psy.D. Doctoral Degree from Alliant International University where he completed a dissertation examining the personality profiles of males convicted of stalking related crimes using the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Second Edition (MMPI-2).
Michael L. Stanfill, MA, MEd
Michael Stanfill, MA is a registered psychological assistant who works directly under the supervision of Dr. Todd Pizitz. He assists Dr. Pizitz in completing psychological assessments and administers and interprets testing data. He has experience evaluating adults, adolescents, children, and couples in a variety of clinical and forensic settings. Mike also provides treatment to clients through both individual and group therapy.
Prior to working with Dr. Pizitz, Mike worked in a variety of clinical settings. In addition to providing individual therapy to inmates with mental health issues, Mike designed and implemented anger management groups to be used with violent offenders while being employed in various prisons. In addition to working with this population, Mike has provided individual, group and family therapy to those with severe mental illness in psychiatric hospitals, day treatment programs, and those currently on probation. He has presented, published and does research on psychological assessment issues related to various populations.
