Dr. Todd Pizitz is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist
in private practice in Vista , California . Working closely
with persons afflicted with various addictions and challenges,
he provides psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to
adults, adolescents and families. Through his work as a clinical
psychologist, he helps clients overcome struggles and develop
better management of problems. Assessment and evaluation
of clients' needs is essential, and Dr. Pizitz works closely
with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other agencies to determine
how to best treat and care for his clients.
Dr. Pizitz specializes in psychological testing and evaluations.
As an evaluator, Dr. Pizitz is able to more definitively determine
diagnosis, personality structure, intellectual functioning,
and treatment planning. Such evaluations help clear up misconceptions
about diagnosis, and guide the direction for the most beneficial
and symptom-relieving interventions. Dr. Pizitz has been an
evaluator for Amador and Associates conducting assessments
of reality television show candidates, such as Wife Swap and
Project Runway. In addition, Dr. Pizitz works with several
Southern California Surrogacy and Egg Donor agencies assessing
potential surrogate mothers, egg donors and intended parents.
Dr. Pizitz was a P.O.S.T. certified peace officer with the
Orange County Probation Department. He worked in juvenile supervision
and has broad knowledge and experience in understanding juvenile
and adult offenders and the concomitant mental health issues.
Dr. Pizitz was on staff at Children's Hospital and Tri-City
Medical Center . He was the clinical supervisor for the East
County Drug Court and Pegasus East Dual Recovery Center . He
has been the clinical supervisor for North County Drug Court
for the past four years. In addition to his working with County
Probation , he was a Staff Psychologist for the Federal Probation
Program. Dr. Pizitz was an instructor with the Academy of Justice
teaching STC courses to custodial and supervision deputy probation
officers. He presently is an Adjunct Professor at Alliant International
University having taught Pharmacology, Addiction,
and Forensic Assessment Courses. Dr. Pizitz is presently a
member of the Society for Personality Assessment (SPA), the
American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the San
Diego Psychological Association (SDPA).
